Citrate tubes must be completely filled in order to perform testing. The level of blood must be within the top and bottom borders of the black marker on the tubes.

  • After centrifugation, coagulation specimens remain viable for up to 8 hours at room temperature (RT). 
  • Specimens from patients receiving warfarin may be stored for up to 24 hours at RT prior to analysis. Code: WCLIN
