We constantly evolve by embracing technology, understanding that to be sustainable into the future we must constantly innovate, be accountable and efficient. We were the first laboratory in Victoria to implement full Microbiology automation, improving quality, consistency and result turn-around.
We are a team of passionate and enthusiastic scientific and medical staff. We work in a collegial environment where continuing education is valued and supported. Our pathologists participate in multi-disciplinary meetings to discuss individual patient treatment plans as well as having major roles in University and postgraduate teaching and research projects.
Being an integral part of Austin Hospital, we support the pathology needs of a tertiary hospital with critically ill patients in intensive care, critical care and in emergency situations where fast and accurate results are imperative to patient treatment. We ensure the highest levels of quality control, so that we deliver the right result in a timely manner every time. Our accreditation standards are first class with numerous commendations from NATA, the professional assessing body.
We value our patients, doctors and community. Our goal is to make public pathology sustainable in Victoria. We provide services to Austin Health and Mercy Hospital for Women in Melbourne as well as Goulburn Valley, Kyabram District and Health, Kyneton, Seymour Health, Swan Hill District Health, Echuca Regional Health, Kilmore Hospital, Castlemaine Hospitals, Mildura Base Hospital, Cohuna District and Mallee Track in regional Victoria.
