The INR should only be applied to patients receiving anticoagulant therapy and is not valid in any other clinical situations (RCPA manual 2001). 

The test code WCLIN is used for patients monitored for Warfarin dosing via the Austin Pathology Warfarin Clinic  (ph: 03 9496 3606, email: warfarin@austin.org.au)

Collection Instructions

Citrate tubes must be completely filled in order to perform testing. The level of blood must be within the top and bottom borders of the black marker on the tubes.
