Ordering Information

For patients with low IgA levels, deamidated gliadin peptide IgG antibodies (DGAB) are recommended.

For initial coeliac serology testing, tissue transglutaminase IgA antibodies (TTG), in conjunction with an IgA level, is recommended.

In some patients, particularly paediatric patients, endomysial IgA antibodies (EMA) may be of use, but should only be tested if TTG has been performed and is positive. EMA testing requires Immunopathologist approval.
