Additional Collection Instructions

For Clexane and Danaparoid monitoring: Collect 2 x 4 mL Sodium Citrate (light blue) tubes 4 - 6 hours post anticoagulant administration

For Rivaroxaban and Apixaban monitoring: Collect 2 x 4 mL Sodium Citrate (light blue) tubes) 2 - 3 hours post anticoagulant administration

For Heparin testing: Collect 2 x 4 mL Sodium Citrate (light blue) tubes. the specimen must be marked Urgent to avoid Heparin neutralisation.
