Cultured for bacteria. Please note if legionella, fungi or Nocardia is suspected, this should be added to the clinical notes. If required, Mycobacteria is to be requested separately.

  • Transbronchial biopsies
  • Bronchial secretions, etc. 

Fluid is collected into a sterile container (1 mL minimum, 50 mL maximum) and/or the brushing slides.
