Please refer to Molecular Genetics - Austin Pathology for specific testing details and request form for ordering, indicating the test required and the biopsy number and date of collection of the sample you wish to be tested.

After this form has been completed, please forward it to the Anatomical Pathology laboratory via the fax number found on the request form.

  • 5μm sections on uncoated slides - 7 sections for resection specimens OR

Laboratory Instructions

The Anatomical Pathology department will register the test, obtain the tissue block or slides (using the test code MOLA), and forward them to Molecular Diagnostics for testing.

After testing, it will be registered as ESTNGS, and the relevant sub-panel will be added (including Lung, BRCA Tumour, CRC, Endometrial, Epilepsy, GIST, Glioma, Kidney, Bladder, Melanoma, MMR, Ovarian SCST, Ovarian Serous, Pancreas, Liver, Prostate, Thyroid & Solid Tumour (Full) NGS Panel) by selecting the option from the drop-down menu under the "Extended Solid Tumour NGS" tab of the ESTNGS test code.
