Salmonella typhi Vi IgG serology is used to examine vaccine responses, as part work up for specific antibody deficiencies.

This test should only be requested in consultation with an Immunologist or Immunopathologist. It is not used for the diagnosis of Salmonella infection or typhoid fever.
