Ordering Information

This test is for patients suspected of poisoning with Isopropyl Alcohol.

Clinicians must contact Chemical Pathologist for approval. If the chemical pathologist is not available, please seek approval from the Principal Biochemistry Scientist.

Turn Around Time for this test is approximately 2 weeks from received date by referral laboratory.

Collection Instructions

Please collect 1 x DEDICATED 4mL Fluoride Oxalate (Grey Top).

Whole Blood Fluoride Oxalate sample is preferred, however serum or EDTA is also an acceptable sample type.
