This test detects Herpes Simplex Virus 1 (HSV-1), Herpes Simplex Virus 2 (HSV-2), and Varicella Zoster Virus (VZV).
Urine samples are not optimal for Herpes Multiplex PCR testing. Swab specimens are preferred. Please contact Medical Microbiologist on 03 9496 5694 for further discussion.
