Ordering Information	Fluid MCS covers the following sample types: Synovial (Joint Aspirate) Fluid Ascitic/ Peritoneal Fluid Pleural Fluid Pericardial Fluid Peritonal Dialysis Fluid Fine Needle Aspirate Fluid
Collection Instructions	If collecting in syringe, discard the needle and cap the syringe. Send syringe to laboratory. For aspirates collect 2 - 10 mL and place most of the aspirate into a sterile container (70ml yellow top). If anaerobic testing is required, please send the syringe (remove the needle and cap with a safety cap) to the laboratory. If Cytology and/or Biochemistry required please separate if possible, into 2 or 3 serile containers (70ml yellow top) .
