Ordering Information

Soluble CD25 (also known as IL-2 receptor alpha) is released from T cells during chronic T-cell activation. Increased levels of soluble CD25 in the serum is used as a diagnostic marker for Hemophagotic lymphohistiocytosis.

CSR Instructions

Centrifuge, aliquot, and freeze AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

Instructions for: Metropolitan & Regional Specimen Receptions

  • Centrifuge sample, and make 2 aliquots (minimum 100 uL each). 
  • Freeze both aliqouts within 24 hours of collection. 
  • Forward aliquots to Heidelberg Sendaways departments frozen.
  • This test is not to be confused with Cytokine Interleukin 2/IL-2 (MISCSO), please consult with Immunopathologist if unsure of test code.
