Ordering Information

Calprotectin constitutes more than 60% of total protein in the cytosol of neutrophils, which infiltrate the intestinal mucosa as part of the inflammatory response. The non-invasive measurement of faecal calprotectin is considered a useful screening tool for differentiating IBD from IBS.

Collection Instructions
  • Please collect at least a walnut sized volume of faeces.
  • Sample is suitable for up to 72 hours when stored 2-8°C 
  • Sample is suitable for longer than 72 hours when frozen at -20°C
