Collection Instructions
|
- Saliva is collected into a 5 mL plain tube labelled "Salivary Cortisol Tube". This tube is contained in the Salivary Cortisol Collection Kit. 3 mLs of saliva is required.
- The salivary sample is collected at approximately 2300 hours or before retiring if patient goes to bed earlier than 2300.
- Saliva must be collected BEFORE brushing teeth or at least 30 minutes after. Rinse mouth with water prior to collection.
