Clinical Notes must include: travel history, +/or chronic diarrhoea (include duration), +/or weight loss +/or eosinophilia, +/or overseas adoption +/or immunosuppression when requesting parasite investigation. Otherwise only direct wet-preparation will be performed.

When the index of suspicion is high and when the organisms are not found in stool, duodenal contents should be examined.  Strongyloides serology should also be performed. 

Please collect 1 x sterile (brown lid) container.

Up to 2 separate collections of faeces can be accepted for testing each 7 day period.

This test can be added up to 5 days from collection.
